Jeff, the builder, has a passion for creating masterpieces from the simplest of forms through carefully constructed layering techniques. Jeff has spent most of his life in the construction industry and after about 20 years crafting microbrews as a hobby, Jeff connected with a friend who owned a small vineyard. He was immediately drawn to the complexity and characteristics that make a good wine. Six years into the wine making process, he has honed the ability to create sought after wines building from the most subtle details. Jeff’s varieties will tantalize the nose with playful aromas and tempt your palate with fruit forward experiences.
Born and raised in Lewiston, Jeff and his family (wife Barb, kids Nate & Lexi, and granddaughter Addison Marie) love the Lewiston valley and are thrilled to be a part of the northwest wine making family. Whether you meet Jeff at the winery or enjoying the region with his wife Barb of over 30 years, you will quickly be drawn into a vibrant discussion about good wines.
MIKE YATES
Mike, the quiet chemist, has been crafting original blends for over 12 years. One step into his home and you will immediately know that Mike has a love and great respect for traditions. Much like his collection and appreciation for vintage treasures, Mike’s wine pays homage to old world wines with robust and complex flavors that will intrigue the most seasoned of palettes. In 1997, Mike had the opportunity to go to Prosser, Washington to purchase grapes from a local independent grower where he learned about grape ripening, harvesting, and purchasing. The “passion” for Mike started when that wine became a respectable vintage. From this point forward he knew that he wanted to create unique wines with the perfect marriage of high brix to acid retention.
Mike and his wife Coda of 30 years are both Lewiston natives. They have two grown kids, daughter Nikki and son Casey, and love to spend time camping and traveling with family and friends. Of course their travels always include trying the local wines along the way!
